Review : Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa

Yeah~ Setelah seminggu filem Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa ni release, berkesempatan juga aku tengok midnite semalam. Dah jadi macam agenda negara pulak.

Based loosely on the 16th century historical document entitled ‘The Malay Annals’, ’The Chronicles of Merong Mahawangsa’ is an action-packed epic feature film, with mythical characters, magical moments and dazzling visual-effects sequences. Merong Mahawangsa was a descendant of Alexander the Great, a renowned naval captain and traveler who came to Asia several hundred years ago.

The year is 120 AD… a time when the Roman Empire is at the height of its power, during the reign of Hadrian – one of the Five Good Emperors. Meanwhile in China, the Han Dynasty is firmly cemented as the ruling empire and is expanding into Central Asia… one hundred years before the period of the Three Kingdoms. As the Roman fleet did their repairs and traded in Goa, they asked Merong Mahawangsa to escort a Roman prince to Southeast Asia, to wed a beautiful Chinese princess from the Han Dynasty. The Chinese princess and the Roman prince are supposed to meet halfway and be married on neutral grounds.

However, the pirate nation of Geruda had other plans. They decided to kidnap the Chinese princess and use her as ransom. En route to the Straits of Melaka, Merong Mahawangsa’s fleet was attacked by Geruda’s forces while stopping at a small island to replenish supplies.

Will Merong Mahawangsa be able to rescue the Princess and re-unite her with her betrothed in a marriage that is set to bring together two great civilizations from the East and West ?

Ok, dapatan aku setelah habis menonton filem ni ;

* Lakonan Khir Rahman sebagai Kemawas memang paling berkesan & menyerlah. Selayaknya membuatkan semua orang geli geleman dengan dialog & gaya tubuh yang tak boleh blah. Dan baru tahu yang Khir Rahman ni anak A.Rahman Hassan, penyanyi pop yeye dulu-dulu tu. Khir ni juga pengarah filem ...dalam Botol. Haaaa... Jadi pelakon best dah, kalau jadi pengarah... Tak tahulah kan macam mana. Nak kena tengok ke? :P

* Honestly, aku paling suka scene romantik. Kyaa~ Lumrah kot bila sifat kegadisan yang menebal dalam diri. Ecececece... Part Putera Rome dengan Puteri China yang kat air terjun tu sweet... Part Merong dengan Embok pulak, aku suka reaksi Embok masa Merong baru jadi raja. Mula-mula muka dia biasa je macam tak ada perasaan. Lepas tu dia pusing belakang, buat muka happy gedik tapi ala malu-malu gitu..

* Sinematografi dia sangat cantik~ Banyak scene yang aku tertanya-tanya, "Kat mana dia buat scene ni?", "Macam mana dia buat scene ni?" Padahal aku tahu diorang shoot kat pantai dekat kampung Saa iaitu Besut. Saa dah penah bagitau 2 tahun lepas. Hehehe~ Ni rasa nak gi Besut ni.

* Pelakon tambahan yang jadi bala tentera tu alahai cekedingnya la.. Well.. Tapi nak expect apakan, budget filem ni pun 8juta je. Kalau Prince of Persia tu ke boleh la nak bayar wresler WWE pun, sebab budget dia beratus juta USD. Huhuh~ Apa yang ada kat tepi-tepi kampung tu je la boleh pakai. Huhuh~

* Puteri China sangat cun cantik jelita~ Gabungan beliau dengan inangnya sangat cute & kelakar. Tapi tak boleh blah bila, scene mandi bogel dalam tub menjadi topik hangat di forum-forum. Aih, itu je la yang nampak... zzzzz

* Ada beberapa scene hero, Merong ni nak buat lawak tapi tak jadi. Contoh masa tengah perang-perang, dia lost Putera Rom, lepas tu dia tanya sorang askar Rom ni yang baru lepas kena tikam yang dah nyawa-nyawa ikan ni. Then bila tentera tu cakap tak tahu, dia tanya tentera tu, "Is it hurt?" Then, dia punched mamat tu. Pastu cakap, "At least you didn't feel the pain anymore," Lebih kurang macam tu. Tak kelakor kot. Huhuh~

* Kat kredit akhir cerita, ada nama Maya Karin as Goa Villager. Tapi seriously langsung tak perasan beliau.

Kalau dah  tengok, apa pulak pendapat korang?

Kemalangan Ngeri Berlaku di Depan Mata ; Cuak, Trauma, Insaf

Kejadian berlaku hujung 2 minggu lepas. Aku pulang ke kampung halaman, Kampung Sentosa seperti biasa. Bezanya kali ni, aku tak drive sebab akak & abang ipar balik sekali. So, aku tumpang diorang je la. Nak dijadikan cerita, petang Sabtu tu, mak nak guna internet. So, kitorang decide nak pergi Metropolitan Temerloh.

Kaki dia kat kepala dah macam akrobatik dah. Kepala dia berdarah, helmet tercampak. Nasib baik hidup lagi. Nasib baik juga kat lane sebelah tu tak de kereta. Kalau tak, memang tak dapat bayang. Kyaaa~

Macam biasa aku panik selaku antara saksi utama kemalangan. Terus refleks call 999. Then aku cakap "Takpelah Encik, dah ada orang nak tolong bawakan mangsa ni." Ceh, takpalah, at least Klinik Kesihatan Maran tu boleh stand by kan. Huhuh~

Pakcik Proton Saga meribakan mangsa. Kalau tak dia nak bawa mangsa naik kereta dia. Tapi sebab mangsa tu macam dah patah riuk dah. Susah nak bawa masuk kereta.

Tak dapat bayang, dah lah cedera parah camtu. Naik pulak belakang pick-up. Then, aku tak tahulah apa nasib dia. Harapnya selamat & cepat sembuh.

Pakcik Proton Saga beria-ia menceritakan semula bagaimana tragedi berlaku.

Aku sebenarnya sangat insaf.

1. Kalau nak ikut, mungkin ada orang cakap "Padan muka Mat Rempit, sape suruh bawa laju!" Tapi sebenarnya bagi orang yang tak biasa rempit, ketahuilah, kalau naik motor memang TAK BOLEH BREK EMERGENCY! Nanti diorang akan drift melilau-lilau. So kalau nak masuk simpang ke, keluar simpang ke kalau nampak motor, bagilah dia lalu dulu. Memanglah kecil je motor tu, tapi nilai nyawa dia besar.

2. Kepada pemandu motosikal, tolonglah ikat tali topi keladar anda.

3. Kepada pemandu, janganlah bawa laju sangat.

Japan earthquake Q&A: Radiation exposure and the effects on human health

Japan earthquake Q&A: Radiation exposure and the effects on human health - latimes.com

As engineers have fought to avert a meltdown at the earthquake- and tsunami-crippled Fukushima No. 1 (Daiichi) power plant, nuclear authorities have reported that spikes of radiation have escaped from the facility at levels that can be dangerous to human health. Authorities have evacuated more than 170,000 people within 12 miles of the plant and have warned those within 20 miles to stay indoors and close off ventilation systems. They have also issued iodine tablets to those who have remained in the area and those at evacuation centers. At least 200 people have been exposed to radiation. Here's a look at the potential radiation exposures and effects on human health.

Is all radiation harmful?

No. There are two types of radiation: non-ionizing and ionizing. Non-ionizing radiation includes infrared radiation, radio waves, cellphone radiation and the radiation we use to cook food in a microwave. Such radiation does not break chemical bonds. If it is very intense, it can heat up tissues; otherwise, it does not have significant effects. It is not believed to cause cancer.

Ionizing radiation is much more dangerous because it does break chemical bonds and thus does cause cancer. Examples of this kind of radiation include X-rays, gamma rays and the alpha or beta particles emitted by radioactive elements as they decay.

What happens when someone is exposed to ionizing radiation?

That depends on how long you are exposed. The initial symptoms are identical to those suffered by a person undergoing radiation therapy for cancer. The first signs include nausea and fatigue, then vomiting. After that comes hair loss and diarrhea. For radiotherapy for tumors, the exposure generally stops after that point and the symptoms are controlled. But with heavier exposure, the next stage is generally destruction of the intestinal lining and worse diarrhea and dehydration, then central nervous system damage. After that comes loss of consciousness and, inevitably, death.

How does radiation released from nuclear plants compare with a nuclear bomb?

A nuclear explosion produces two types of radiation that has lethal effects. The blast itself produces X-rays and gamma rays that irradiate anyone near the site, usually with a lethal or near-lethal dose of radiation. Most of the 166,000 Japanese who died at Hiroshima in the first four months after the atomic bombing suffered from this type of radiation, which killed them directly or aggravated other injuries suffered in the blast.

It also produces clouds of radioactive ash that includes cesium-137, iodine-131, radioactive strontium and a host of other long-lived byproducts of the explosion — known collectively as fallout. This material can collect on skin and clothing, where it can emit radiation that pierces the skin. More important, it can accumulate in food, milk, water and other products that are ingested. It is not clear how many Hiroshima residents died of cancer from this source, but some estimates put it at more than 100,000.

Fukushima is not emitting gamma or X-irradiation. Most of the radioactivity is in the form of radiocesium and radioiodine, which are byproducts of the fission of uranium in the fuel rods.

What makes cesium-137 and iodine-131 dangerous?

Iodine-131 is absorbed preferentially in the thyroid gland, where it can cause tumors. It has a half-life of eight days and is most dangerous to children because it damages rapidly dividing cells. The problem can be substantially ameliorated by taking tablets of ordinary iodine, which bind to the thyroid and prevent the radioactive iodine from binding.

Cesium-137, which has a half-life of 30 years, is more serious. It is a salt that acts like potassium and goes everywhere in the body. It is absorbed into soft tissues, causing sarcomas. It contaminates food, water and milk and gets into the body when those things are ingested. Contamination with cesium-137 is one of the main reasons large areas of land had to be abandoned in the wake of the Chernobyl disaster in 1986.

How much exposure is enough to make someone sick?

The biological risk of exposure to radiation is measured in sieverts, or Sv. An exposure of 500,000 microsieverts, or µSv, can lead to nausea and fatigue within hours. A dose of 750,000 µSv causes hair loss within two or three weeks, and a dose of 1 million µSv will cause hemorrhage. Death usually occurs at a dose of 4 million µSv.

In terms of long-term effects, experts estimate that if 10,000 people were each exposed to 10,000 µSv of ionizing radiation in small doses over a lifetime, about five or six more people in the group would die of cancer than would be expected without the radiation exposure.

What were the health consequences of Chernobyl and Three Mile Island?

In the case of Chernobyl, United Nations reports have estimated that fewer than 50 people had died of causes directly related to radiation exposure. Most were rescue workers who had received high radiation doses; 28 died within the first few months. As many as 4,000 people are expected to eventually die of radiation-related causes. A 2005 report said about 4,000 thyroid cancers were directly related to radiation exposure, mostly in people who were children or adolescents at the time of the disaster and drank milk highly contaminated with radioactive iodine. At least nine died.

To track the health fallout of the 1979 Three Mile Island disaster, the Pennsylvania Department of Health kept a registry of more than 30,000 people who lived within five miles of the site at the time. Finding little evidence of significantly changed cancer rates, it discontinued the database in 1997.

So how much radiation have people in Japan been exposed to? How risky is it?

The levels of exposure are unclear. Radiation levels were reported to have jumped to about 400,000 µSv per hour inside the Fukushima plant after an explosion Tuesday, although the levels subsided rapidly. Sustained exposure to this level of radiation would be extremely hazardous. Levels outside the plant would have been substantially lower.

Civilians who have been exposed to radiation have been treated by simply getting their clothes washed and being given showers because the exposure has been so minimal.

Workers in the plant will receive the highest exposure, but they are outfitted with full protective gear, wear radiation badges and work for shifts of only an hour or two at a time. According to news reports, radiation levels in Tokyo have been 10 times normal, which is still very low.

Tsunami Japan : Before After Satellite Photo

Aku bet satu dunia terkejut apabila Jepun dilanda tsunami besar yang dasyat. Sampai sekarang aku rasa berdebar-debar & takut. Betul, aku manusia mudah lupa. Walaupun selama ni dah banyak dugaan & ujian.

Memohon ampun dari-Mu, Allah

  • Aku ingat J-Pop mungkin berkubur at least hiatus for awhile, rupa-rupanya Tackey Tsubasa dengan selambanya release PV untuk single terbaru semalam. zzzzzzz
  • Tak boleh blah bila news Jepun cover Yamapi & famili selamat, ok fine. Just anjing dia je hospitalize. zzzzz
  • Lagi tak boleh blah Kosmo nak cover pornstar kesayangan ramai Maria Ozawa selamat. wateffffffffff
Aih, tau tak berpuluh-puluh ribu kehilangan orang tersayang, kediaman, pekerjaan. Semua lenyap dari muka bumi.... Betul rumah, bangunan, kenderaan boleh dibina semula. Tapi nak bina semula semangat, ialah paling mencabar.

Gambate, Nippon~

Adakah kita hanya mampu berdoa? T_T

Winter Vacation : Seoul - Day 3

Aih, terpaksa travelog aku jadi macam berbulan2. Walhal sekarang dah masuk Spring dah pun. Huhuh~

Semua gara-gara kegersangan tak ada talian internet kat rumah. Bosan. Argh... Tak boleh terima...

Ok, kembali kepada hari-hari jakun sedunia. Hari paling excited; pergi theme park, LOTTE WORLD. Yeay~

Kalau ikut plan mula-mula beberapa bulan sebelum berangkat, kitorang plan nak pergi Lotte World.

Kata bercuti, haruslah bersenang-lenang. Sampaikan pukul 11pagi baru kitorang keluar rumah. Hahaha~

Hari tu kurang sejuk daripada hari sebelumnya.

Tapi still sungai dia tak cair. -_-

Sebelum masuk Lotte World, wajiblah 'brunch' dulu. Kitorang tapau kat fast food Lotte; Lotte Ria. Haaaa... Lotte Ria ni aku boleh kata, konsep dia memang hampir sejibik plagiat McD. Tapi memang success. Jauh lebih popular daripada McD.

Tiket 1 day pass beharga 32 400won untuk seorang dewasa. Terima kasih, Sarini atas penjimatan~

Sebenarnya nak masuk Lotte World tak boleh bawa makanan luar, tapi since kitorang makhluk orang asing & makanan tu pun Lotte gak, diorang bagi je masuk.

Dayah menolak makan burger Lotte World demi sentiasa merasai suasana Korea, so beli tri-kimbab kat convenience store. Ekekeke~

Sarini yang dah breakfast sebab keluar dulu sebab urusan bisnes killing the time snapping the ice ring.

Yeay~ Dah kenyang.

So, kamera memang simpan dalam beg aja kala detik-detik cemas.

Haruslah yang paling express diri ialah aku. Menjerit tak hingat. Habis keluar segala datuk nenek.

Seperti biasa, kalau nak naik rides tu mestilah beratur panjang. Ekekeke~

Baby : Omma, dah nantuk sangat ni.... Jom la balik..
Omma : Ala, omma nak tengok idol jap ni.. Tidurla dulu. Ni oppa T-Blue tolong lullaby kan...

zzzzzzzzz

Ok, pukul 7 malam kitorang dah pancit sebab terlalu banyak berjalan, berlari & menjerit termasuk menjerit oppa.. oppa... kat T-Blue ..

Lotte World macam berpuluh kali ganda kot best. Memang fully recommended pergi Lotte World kalau pergi Korea.

Harapnya bukan bulan depan. Setahun baru habis kalau macam ni.

zzzzzz
